Obstetrical Diagnostic Ultrasounds
First Trimester Dating Ultrasound (5-13 Weeks)

- Evaluation of the pelvis to include: Uterus, endometrium, cervix, ovaries, and adnexa.
- Evaluation of pregnancy to include:
- Number of gestations
- Location of the pregnancy (IUP vs Ectopic)
- Estimated Due Date
- Fetal heart rate (depending on baby’s GA, FHR may be measured but not heard)
- Transabdominal and Transvaginal (internal ultrasound) imaging will both be performed with this ultrasound.
- Best completed at least 6 weeks from the first day of your last period up until 13 weeks.
- Our Sonographer may request you return for a free follow-up ultrasound if viability cannot be established during your first visit.
- Diagnostic images will be made available to your provider upon request.
- Printed and texted images will be provided if pregnancy is viable.
- Heartbeat animal may be purchased for an additional $15 if pregnancy is viable.

- Transvaginal (internal ultrasound) imaging will be performed if cervical length measurement is desired.
- Best completed between 19-23 weeks, can be done later but views may be limited due to baby's size.
